kink bingo, "teasing"
Jan. 22nd, 2014 09:49 pmOne fic down, twenty-four to...fuck.
I had every intention of doing a blackout, because I'm bored and ambitious and it's ten months till next Yuletide. I decided I'd pick a kink I have an easy time writing (dirty talk) and bang out something just over the 500 word minimum as an easy introduction to the wonderful world of kink bingo.
LOL.
I'd forgotten how difficult short fic is to write. Dirty talk is normally something that I write way too much of (/waves to former betas) but this one was like pulling teeth (ha ha, hockey, get it?). Maybe because I was trying to frame not-sex the way I would a sex scene. Also, hockey player trash talk is a billion times stupider than what I wrote, so I couldn't shake the feeling that it sounded inaccurate.
All in all, though, I like how it turned out. I like that the prompt works in several ways--sexual teasing, the playground teasing of hockey chirps, the author teasing the reader with fade to black. I like that it plays with the darkness of hockey, and the violent, domineering itch it scratches (for me, at least).
I'll probably write the porny sequel, because I cockblocked myself and there isn't enough good hatesex in fandom. And while I'm not supposed to like the Flyers, Claude Giroux could bend me over any day of the week. Mm, yeah, mama's a dirty puck slut.
