Hockey RPF Rarepair Exchange letter

darkrosaleenHello writer! I tend to write really long letters, so think of these as optional inspiration more than rules. Feel free to mix and match the prompts as well, if I gave a prompt for Marchand/Seguin that you think would work well for Oshie/Toews or whatever. I have no strong feelings either way about non-famous girlfriends/family members, so do whatever works for you and the story.
A note about noncon: I didn't select noncon in the warnings option because I'm not interested in it for these pairings, but it's not a trigger issue, and I like a lot of dubconish kinks and tropes. So if you want to write something a little coercive or dirtybadwrong, I am so on board. The worst I'll be is annoyed, and that's unlikely unless you make the Bruins evil rapemonsters.
LIKES: complicated characters and relationships, obsessive codependency, a strong sense of place, "straight" dudes getting their buddies off and really liking it, sexual discovery, actual hockey, sports psychology, anything that deals with roles and expectations (captain/rookie/vet/thug/chirper/etc), bed sharing and cuddling (especially if it starts out platonic), boys being boys, boys having trouble expressing their feelings, food as a metaphor for love, drunk or high sex, rough sex, pain/blood/bruise kink, dirty talk, humiliation, daddy kink, crossdressing and gender fuckery (especially for big burly dudes), soulmates and their complications. I like omegaverse, d/s verse, and kneelingverse as long as the sub/omega/kneeler is strong-willed or feisty and the kinky stuff isn't solely focused on the top making the bottom feel safe.
1. Brad Marchand/Tyler Seguin
Their relationship was my happy place long before I got into RPF. Tell me what they got up to as the only not-married-and-boring guys in Boston, or in the booze-soaked aftermath of the 2011 cup, or on one of their many reunions during Bruins/Stars games. I would prefer something happy for this ship, whether that means Tyler's Bruins days or a happy long distance relationship. But I'm totally a fan of them pining, failing to communicate, getting inappropriately handsy while drunk, or getting more and more intimate while claiming they're just bros/it's just sex/they're totally straight. Super bonus points if Segs is the one tragically pining for Marchy.
2. Andrew Ference/Tyler Seguin
Ference always seemed like the cool (hot) dad type, and I would love to read about all the ways he ruined the Bruins' wonder rookie, as long as Tyler's eagerly on board. Tyler wasn't inked head to toe when he met Ference, just saying (it would be super hot if one or both of them got off on getting tattooed, especially if it makes things awkward). Maybe Tyler's the aggressor, and Andrew has to grapple with being attracted to somebody that much younger. Maybe Tyler just flirts because he's flirty and is totally surprised when Andrew takes him up on it. Daddy kink is an obvious choice, but I'm also a fan of mentorship in general, or Ference being dragged into non-porny shenanigans. The only thing I don't want is something focused on Tyler's emotional trauma.
3. T.J. Oshie/Jonathan Toews
If you want to write a college story, I'd love to see how T.J. manages to get Jonny out of his shell, especially if it involves substances and lazy makeouts. Or was college Jonny's chance to experiment and break out of the serious mold? I also love feelings for this ship, so feel free to add pining to the sexual experimentation and drunk college shenanigans. If you want to add long-distance pining years after UND, I would love that too. I'm a sucker for ships with history who reconnect much later on, so a long distance relationship would make me very happy.
4. David Backes/T.J. Oshie/Jonathan Toews
I nominated this because I love threesomes where the third person makes everything a million times harder. I also love threesomes where two people who hate each other try to get along because they both love the same person. I love every facet of this relationship, because Toews and Backes are so pissy at each other and Oshie just loves everyone and Backes is an on-ice bruiser who saves puppies in his spare time. I ship all the couples involved, and I'm sort of just curious to see what you can come up with.

More mentorship feelings, but with a very different kind of rookie. I'm interested in the pressures of being a star player at such a young age, and how Jonny's leadership instincts contrast with his needs as a young player new to the game. While I'll never say no to d/s or daddy kink or older guys corrupting younger guys, I'm more interested in the psychological stuff for this pairing than just straight porn. It would be interesting to see Jonny taking domination or punishment as a way of proving himself, and maybe Brent's one of the only people who gets that. Or maybe Brent's the sub and that adds another level of complication. I also really like domestic tropes like bed sharing and anything food related, so something set when they lived together would be awesome.
